A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in
the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. A CCIM is an invaluable
resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user, and is
among an elite corps of 7,500 professionals across North America who hold
the CCIM designation.
John graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance Major. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member and has been selling investment real estate since 1990 from his Portland, Oregon office. Understanding the entire process and subtleties of business points keep John's transactions on the proper timeline.
A favorite business aspect of John’s is assisting clients with their IRC §1031 tax deferred exchanges. Approximately 90% of John's transactions since 1990 have the buyer, seller or both conducting an exchange.
John has significant national, regional, and local experience. He was appointed to the investment real estate council for the second largest real estate brokerage company in the United States. John has been quoted in The Oregonian, The Business Journal, and the Daily Journal of Commerce. National, regional and local clients have trusted John for sensitive sales where confidentiality was required.

John is married with three children and enjoys fly-fishing for cooperative trout, triathlons and a long list of less frequent hobbies.
